My Visit to The Best Beauty Centre – Eyebrow Embroidery + Eyeliner Embroidery

tes1

Admittedly, this entry took a little longer than expected. After my first visit to The Best Beauty Centre, I headed to Philippines for two weeks; was suppose to do a touch-up a month after the first (most of the embroidery sort of faded off), but until now, it never happened. Unfortunately, I won’t be back till mid June to Singapore, so… the plan to take a million nice photos with my new brows at Bali, went up in smokes. Anyway…

I visited the Toa Payoh outlet, and was very delighted/honoured to have Cyndia herself greet me. Cyndia was the lady boss of the establishment, with all the awards and such backing The Best Beauty Centre, there’s no denying that my slight discomfort about having my brows done, soon subsided to nothingness.

I was rather ecstatic to visit the salon, back in mid February. Soon after, I’d be heading over to Philippines to oversee the office set up there.

As I was seated in front of the mirror, I couldn’t help but start thinking, what would be the end results of… my first attempt to do embroidery (not to mentioned, my hair still looks pink after more than four months since I dyed it, I’m beyond impressed by the hair salon).

Cyndia got one of her staff to assist me in better understanding how the whole process works.

The above is the before photo, remember it, cause the after would be a lot different! I think
After the introductory, the process began!

First, Cyndia used this string thing to help remove those “loose strands” (for lack of better description at this moment).

Yes, lady boss herself did it for me! Trust when I say that I truly admire those that not only run the business but also KNOW the business.

Afterwards, she used the (again I forgot what’s that call…) yellow blade thingie, to remove all the excess brows, supposedly to “tidy it up”.

It’s quite a bit neater if you can tell, from the previous photo that is.

The results?

I swear, I’ve never once in my life touched an eyebrow pencil (my makeup artists have done it for me before though), so I really am unsure how it works. It’s like crayons to me. Messy and not my cup of tea. Lolx

Now, I really feel like a drawing board, but not in a bad way, really

Now the real deal begins!

After all the art and craft ended, Cyndia moved on to explain a little about the gold proportions to me.

Now, that I knew. I read it before!

See the difference??? Now this is really obvious. So this is what the eyebrow pencil does…

I have to say that Cyndia is truly a perfectionist. I guess one of the many reasons why I never wear make up is cause I really just DO NOT have that kind of patience.

Tada! This is potentially what it’d look like after the embroidery is done, or better; but more permanent than one wash.

This is supposed to help numb the brows first. It’s necessary. And the following are the items and/or products needed for the eyebrow embroidery and eyeliner embroidery.

While waiting for the brows to be numb, Cyndia started working on the eyeliner, drawing it that is.

To be honest, looking into the mirror at that point, I wasn’t really thinking all that much. Just, maybe… “How will I look after this?”

Now, to cut down the timing wastage, after the “drawing” was done, Cyndia began applying the numbing cream.

What’s next???

Hohoho, yup! That’s the “ink” and that’s the “pen” for the embroidery. The pen is basically consist of many needles in a line. I’ve never been afraid of needles much, so this was really nothing to me.

The process really didn’t last all that long, and was not at all painful. That said, mine was the first round of work, supposedly, a touch-up is usually required, depending on how well it absorbs.

Don’t I look different?

After that…

I can’t really remember what the cream does though. If not mistaken, it’s for some anti-infection thing.

And now for the eyeliner embroidery…

Admittedly, the eyeliner embroidery had a little more “feeling” compared to the brows.

When everything was done…

Now, tell me if this isn’t different?!

I am a retail executive in the fashion industry. The nature of my job requires me to look my best in front of my clients, and because of this, I have to draw my eyebrow, among other things. It’s a tedious, frustrating ritual that I have to perform daily. After doing eyebrow embroidery, I no longer need to waste time every morning on this. More clients now approach me now, and some even praise my eyebrow. Thank you Best Beauty!”For more The Best Beauty testimonials, please visit CozyCot.”

I was sceptical at first about doing my eyebrows. I had always thought that only women did eyebrow embroidery. But after I did it, I’m glad I did. It looks very natural and nobody could tell that I’ve done it. Rachel was very professional and very service-oriented as well. Thank you Best Beauty.
